Jiří Vataha
Jirka had been an active employee of the Czech National Bank for many years, most recently as head of the liquidity management department specialized in the sector of banks and their business transactions, then as head of controllership groups in the financial market supervision sector, where he was in charge of on-site inspections of the provision of professional care by insurance companies. He was part of the EIOPA Suptech project group, where he participated in the preparation of big data processing and machine learning tools for EU supervisory authorities. For many years, he has been lecturing at the University of Finance and Administration, a.s., specifically focused on microeconomics and macroeconomics for bachelor's and master's programs, both in Czech and in English, where he also supervises final theses and is a member of the examination committee for state final examinations. In his spare time, he provides start-ups with economic advice in the field of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and preparing pitch decks for investors. Currently, he works as the head of the internal controllership department at Hasičská vzájemná pojišťovna a.s.
Iva Kohoutová
Iva graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Technical University in Liberec with a focus on international trade. She worked for several years in the non-profit sector, mainly in the marketing field, where she coordinated international projects sponsored by the EC and gained experience in managing a non-profit organization as deputy director. She then moved into the business sphere, where she participated in the creation of corporate culture and setting up the company's internal communication. In addition to internal communication, she was also actively involved in the development of relations with municipalities as part of the community outreach project. She currently works as an internal communication manager for the CEE region (CZ, SK, PL, HU, RO) at Mercedes-Benz Česká republika s.r.o. She has experience in coordinating cross-divisional projects, organizing meetings at the international level and conducting workshops. In her free time, she is engaged in graphic work and photography.
Jana Mišovicová
After finishing her studies in the United States of America, where she completed her Bachelor's degree Magna Cum Laude, Jana continued her education at Charles University, where she received a red diploma in the field of Central European Comparative Studies. Having studied around the world enabled her to obtain a C2 native speaker level of the English language, which she still applies today while working in the field of Human Resources at the global IT company DXC Technology. She has been working in the field of Human Resources for more than seven years, during which she actively participates in the implementation of company-wide HR projects.
Robert Šimek
Robert is an expert on law and compliance in the insurance industry, as well as a lecturer and mentor. His unique knowledge of the private and public sector, in combination with his work, personifies a specific connection between theory and practice in the insurance sector. He worked as a supervisor of the Czech National Bank´s financial market, in the EIOPA standing committee for financial innovation and consumer protection, and also in the first Czech insurance company focused exclusively on online sales (DIRECT pojišťovna a.s.). He currently works at YOUPLUS Assurance AG and provides legal services across the insurance group Swiss InsureEvolution Partners in EU/EEC countries and the Swiss Confederation, which focuses on innovative solutions, digitalization of processes and AI development, among other things. He is the author of the most extensive commentary on the legal regulation of the insurance contract. He participated in a number of trainings in the field of insurance distribution, and occasionally lectures at the Faculty of Law of the University of Olomouc and other professional forums. Currently, for example within the MBA, DBA or LLM programs under the auspices of E.G.I.
